Amba Yoga for Women, Mondays 7:30-9 pm with Amba Collective

Amba Yoga is an dynamic, movement-based yoga for women that awakens your life force, builds fluid strength, and deeply nourishes your whole body. Amba is inspired by the elements of nature: earth – grounding, strengthening; water -softening, flowing; fire – initiating, purifying; air – opening, lengthening; space – presence and spirit. This class is for all levels and abilities. You will be guided into moving in a way that feels good to YOU, accessing deeper layers of trust in yourself and your body’s natural movement. Waves: A weekly drop-in 5Rhythms dance class with Kate Shela
Every Tuesday – 8pm-9:30pm (doors close 8:20pm)
The 5Rhythms are a philosophy, perspective, performance art and a dynamic practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness and awareness into action.
The 5R are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness- Together they create a wave of energy.Each 5Rhythms class is an opportunity to drop into the first level of the dynamic practice of Gabrielle Roth’s 5Rhythms and to allow your body, heart and mind to be physicalized through your muscles and bones. This class is a disciplined laboratory of enquiry in an intimate dance space.
$20 per class and $180 for series. Valid for 6 months.
