2019 Amba Teacher’s Training for Women Begins January 19th, 2019.

Applications open September 1st, 2018.

Amba was created from the desire to live in a world in which women are:

– deeply nourished and fulfilled
– in touch with their bodies
– moving from internal satisfaction rather than performance

– receptive to the beauty of their essence

– in sync with their own rhythms, and the rhythms of nature – radiantly alive, empowered, confided, and whole

– in love with who they are

Program Overview

Amba is based in the way nature moves. We use the five elements, cycles of the moon, and rhythms of nature as our internal compass. The Amba practice includes fluid movement, feminine yoga, dance, breath work, sound, partner work and deep nourishment earth meditation.

Learn to:

– connect to, and lead from, your pure joy of movement
– teach with confidence and connection to your body’s living wisdom – access your intuition, creative life force, and instincts

– sustain your energy and continually replenish your body with nourishing life energy

This training may be for you if . . .

You crave work that nourishes your soul.
You desire to guide women into remembering their true source of power within. You want to help women not feel so alone, isolated, and overwhelmed by life. You feel drawn to help women feel their inner beauty and intrinsic value.

You simply get a warm yes from your heart, a sparkling feeling of aliveness in your body, or an intuitive knowing that this is exactly what you’ve been looking for.

Dissolving Into Sound

Wednesday, August 20th, 8pm-9:30pm.

Dissolve into Sound’ returns to Yoga Desa for an evening of sound vibration, relaxation and cleansing rejuvenation. ‘Sound’ is an ancient healing art with a history dating back to the Egyptians, Confucians and Pythagoreans who claimed that sound could ‘tune the soul’ and affect our cosmological and social worlds.

‘Dissolve into Sound’ brings back this art form. We enter into our practice through a grounding meditation, setting intention and some gentle movement to prepare the mind and body to receive the sounds. Using Planetary Gongs, Tibetan bowls, Crystal bowls and other instruments, a sound scape is created of layering sound frequencies and moments of silence.

This sound experience coupled with intention creates a powerful vehicle of transmutation.  Calcified energy patterns are cleared.  A meditative state is triggered, suspending the chatter of the mind.  A state of deep relaxation is induced, activating the body’s innate healing capacities and sound vibrations strengthen and stimulate the nervous and immune system.  Sound immersion promotes mental clarity, physical rejuvenation bringing the body and mind into harmony.
