2019 Amba Teacher’s Training for Women Begins January 19th, 2019.

Applications open September 1st, 2018.

Amba was created from the desire to live in a world in which women are:

– deeply nourished and fulfilled
– in touch with their bodies
– moving from internal satisfaction rather than performance

– receptive to the beauty of their essence

– in sync with their own rhythms, and the rhythms of nature – radiantly alive, empowered, confided, and whole

– in love with who they are

Program Overview

Amba is based in the way nature moves. We use the five elements, cycles of the moon, and rhythms of nature as our internal compass. The Amba practice includes fluid movement, feminine yoga, dance, breath work, sound, partner work, and deep nourishment earth meditation.

Learn to:

– connect to, and lead from, your pure joy of movement
– teach with confidence and connection to your body’s living wisdom – access your intuition, creative life force, and instincts

– sustain your energy and continually replenish your body with nourishing life energy

This training may be for you if . . .

You crave work that nourishes your soul.
You desire to guide women into remembering their true source of power within. You want to help women not feel so alone, isolated, and overwhelmed by life. You feel drawn to help women feel their inner beauty and intrinsic value.

You simply get a warm yes from your heart, a sparkling feeling of aliveness in your body, or an intuitive knowing that this is exactly what you’ve been looking for.

About Amba Movement for Women:

Amba Movement is a feminine, earth-based yoga and movement practice that guides women home to their wholeness. Amba Movement based in the 5 Elements of Nature – earth, water, air, fire, and space. The practices of Amba Movement explore embodying three aspects of the Feminine: Sacred (your essence), Wild (your body), Loved (your heart). Programs include classes, Amba Embodiment Circles, Full Moon Gatherings, and Amba Movement teacher’s training.

About the instructor:

Meghan Mahealani Morris is the founder of Amba Movement. A yoga and movement teacher since 2001, Meghan has always found movement to be a direct pathway home. After over a decade of teaching and practicing yoga in traditional styles which stem from a male lineage, Meghan discovered a more feminine path of awakening, through movement.

Originally from Hawaii, Meghan feels a strong connection with the spirit of the islands and the healing energy of sacred lands and waters. It is through reconnecting with wildlands – both outside in natural settings and inside her own body and breath – that Meghan began to rediscover her connection with the sacred and wild feminine. Meghan went through a decade-long healing journey, through which she learned to nurture and listen to her body and heart.

Meghan created Amba Movement out of her desire to live in a world with more empowered, earth-connected women who cherish themselves, love their bodies, and deeply enjoy their lives.

Based in Topanga Canyon, Meghan leads moon gatherings, women’s embodiment circles, retreats, and Amba Teacher Trainings.

Vedic Astrology & Meditation

with, Tulsi Bagnoli

Sunday, December 9th, 2pm-4pm

$29 presale/$39 at the door

Join Tulsi Bagnoli M.A. for an evening of Vedic Astrology and Meditation to learn what the alignment of the stars at the time of your birth reveals about your true Self.

Jyotish, or Vedic Astrology, is “the study of Light.” A blueprint or snapshot of the planets at your time of birth that can act as a treasure map, ultimately guiding you back to the Self. Jyotish has been used for centuries as a Vedic science that not only can aid in revealing one’s true nature and tendencies, but act as tool to help us navigate with and around our karma (action) and at the most ideal time: either in averting the danger that has yet to come or in making hay while the sun is shines.

In this workshop, an introduction to the basic fundamentals of this vast and profound sacred science will be made. We will begin to unveil the basic nature and characteristics of the planets, signs, and houses as they play out in our daily lives. Tulsi will also guide you in a deep and enlivening light (Prakash) meditation that will cultivate the all-knowing qualities inherent within you and aid in awakening an intellect that reflects truth. Anyone whose signs up for the workshop will receive 25% off of a personal Vedic Astrology Session with Tulsi.

Tulsi is a lifelong practitioner of yoga and meditation and a second generation Vedic Astrologer who has been teaching professionally throughout the US and India for the past 13 years.  $29 Pre-sale / $39 at the door. Tickets: |

A weekly drop-in class
Every Tuesday,
(Doors close at 8:20pm)

The Yoga Desa class invokes night time textures and grooves. Kate Shela and Tim Booth invite you into a dark and bright moving crucible of evolution where we will conscientiously explore the circulation of physical, mental and emotional matter and turn that into creative material. Dedicated and novice dancers blend and find their place in the hum of the dance, in the strum of boundary, in the thrum of discovery. The 5Rhythms are a philosophy, a moving meditation and a dynamic practice rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself. Movement is both the medicine and the metaphor, reaching across all languages and age groups to transform suffering into art, art into awareness and awareness into action. Some weeks Kate may teach alone, other weeks, Tim may teach alone, sometimes we will teach together. We each bring other flavors to the banquet. Our styles are different but complementary.

Important Helpful Tips for Newcomers:

Please understand this is a practice – we recommend at least 4 classes before you will have an inkling of the scope of the map. We have “practiced” this work for 25 years and are still in the landscape of discovery. Each class is uniquely different, some days we may fly blissfully into trance states on others we may wade through the molasses of our human condition. The practice – is to embody all of it.
